Taken on a rather dull day today (21/2/2012) the Aerial Rescue Pump on the run at Bristol Patchway fire station, Avon Fire and Rescue Service.
A 2008 Scania P340 with JDC body and a Vema 28M platform.

what are the little frames over the light bar for?

They are the mounts for the radio and GPS antenna. I’m not sure why this method was used though.
