Based on a Ford Cargo and Wilcox-Seadyke bodywork, the Highland and Island Fire Brigade had this control unit. It went out of service in 2001. License plate LAS160Y

No, unless you mean in Scotland. We are running a 1992 K reg Prime mover Volvo (Water bowser) and 2 F reg 1988 Scania's, 1 which is a Foam Tanker the other a Prime Mover. although all three are down for replacement, they are running brilliant.
DK, this is a Y Suffix not prefix so at a guess it entered service around 1980 without checking when Y suffix came out.

there is still E plates operational in Edinburgh, so that is an age of about 23/24 years old, though second hand, one E750MDE(ex. MWW) is on the run and E396RSC (ex. IOM MAN999U in reserve)
