Whats with the odd blue colouring scheme? Seems very out of place.

The volunteers are fortunate to have some fairly good looking appliances in NZ, I rather like the colour scheme, I was thinking it was one of the better looking compared to some other countries,,
The New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) have been spending the last 10 years (or so)in updating their fleet of Fire Trucks (in some areas there are still frontline trucks in excess of 25 years in age, compare this to the UK where most trucks are usually replaced every 10 years on average). In the last few years the NZFS had decided to create a more modern look to the Fleet with a new colour scheme, in line with the corporate colour scheme for the Service (Red & Blue). Looks good but lacks in High Visibility contrast at night (except for the Yellow tape at Front, Side & Rear of Truck). Iveco is the standard new truck for the Volunteers whereas the Paid Staff get Scania's (although that could change in next few years).
This type one appliance is onetangi 411. Oneroa has a type two Iveco oneroa 407. We also have a tanker onetangi 4111 and a CAF appliance also based at oneroa station. Waiheke island has two fire stations
