This Austin K4 50'manually operated turntable ladder(GXN228)with front mounted American Barton Pump is beleaved to be from 1944 and served the East Riding of Yorkshire Fire Brigade at Stn2 Bridlington until 1961,it then served at Stn1 Beverley-East Riding Y.F.B. until going out of service in 1966 and into preservation.
The appliance was one of 50 Austin K4 TL's allocated to the National Fire Service from 1943 and was registered with the Home Office Fleet at that time as No28.
