I think these trucks were used by RAF Fire Service on Bloodhound Rocket sites using the monitor to hit fire involved unit or other purpose preventing personnel getting in danger zone IF there was a incident??

Ben try looking on the manufacturers plate in vehicle should have chassis number and possible find ex RAF/Mod number stamped on it.example of type(20ay30)

I have had a look and unfortunately I can't find the RAF/MOD number, only the VIN number.

Hi, we had 2 of these at RAF Wyton one was 01 AY 59 not sure of other one.

Hi Ben, Thanks for the VIN number. I will need to check this out at RAF Hendon when I go there.However on my records I have this a 01AY56 which served at RAF Nordhorn and then became command reserve at RAF Saxa Wold.Hope this helps.
