Dennis SS WrT Middlesbrough 17th Oct 98.

E725KAJ is seen as a HGV Trainer at Middlesbrough on 17th Oct98 during a visit with the Fire Brigade Society. This vehicle had previously been at Yarm as Kilo 3.It was withdrawn and disposed of in 2001. It retains it's pre 1992 Cleveland County Fire Brigade livery, which was considerably darker than the later vermillion.

Comments:
Was it E727 KAJ at Yarm, or did this machine also spend time there?

Hi Adam, after checking my records for that time period, I found I photographed E727KAJ at Yarm on 17th Oct 98 in the new vermillion with extra white areas around it's musguards and yellow dayglow stripes on it's bodyside. This was the first time that I'd seen Cleveland's new Teutonic style livery, and sticks in my memory for that reason. I'm sure I've put it's picture on here somewhere. However according to official Fleetlists from the Brigade, E725KAJ was officially allocated to Yarm between 1997 and 1998. So perhaps E727KAJ was there on a temperory basis. Appliances at Yarm tend to be based there for long periods, L681FPY was based there for fourteen years between 1999 and 2008 when it was replaced by the Sabre P313HVN which is still there. The date on the above picture of E725KAJ is wrong, I should have put 1st April 2000.It was a Trainer at Middlesbrough during another Cleveland visit by the FBS.E725KAJ previously at Billingham, joined the training school in 1999 and was withdrawn in either 2000 or 2001.

I have allocations for the four as follows:
E724 New to Middlesbrough, then Marine, then Guisborough.
E725 New to Marine, then Billingham, then Yarm.
E726 New to Stockton, then Stranton, then Headland.
E727 New to Stranton, then Billingham, then Saltburn.
