Dennis Sabre/Excalibur WrT Cleveland 17th Oct 98.

Dennis Sabre P312HVN is seen in the yard at Middlesbrough Fire Station during a Fire Brigade Society visit on 17th October 1998. It was then running as Alpha 1. According to my latest fleetlist of April 09,it was then at the retained Guisbrough Station as their Lima 1.
It is in it's original vermillion livery. This livery originated from a 1992 Cleveland County Council edict that all council owned vehicles should be the same colour (vermillion red at the time)This batch of Sabres were delivered in that livery, but in 1996 Cleveland was broken up into four unitary boroughs, and the County was dissolved. These appliances kept the vermillion red, but as can be seen here, carried the new Brigade name with the word County omitted.
