Scania HP Cleveland 2005/6 DDC1

Stockton's Scania 93M HP is seen at Preston Park in either 2005 or 2006. It carries the later vermillion with Teutonic style white wheel arches. The registration DDC1 came of a Middlesbrough Dennis, and this Scania is the third vehicle to carry it. I thought this reg would have been transferred to the new Middlesbrough's new Volvo HP, but it hasn't so far.

Great photo of a terrific appliance. New Volvo doesn't look half as nice...

Hi All ,

Spoke to a fire chief from Cleveland yesterday and he told me this has been sold to someone in Southern Ireland who picked it up from Thornaby a couple of months ago. Not sure about plates surely would of been kept !

The Southern Ireland fixture fell through. Last I heard it was off to the vehicle auctions at Washington for disposal in early July. It now carries the index G689 GVN. The DDC1 mark has been retained by the brigade "for future use" ;-)
