Unfortunately Pat, "The White Stuff" only lasted about a day or two, and then melted away. It didn't cause that many problems driving on the roads as long as one used a little sense. What am I saying though! I passed many a car and truck parked on the side of the road or in the ditch. :)It was great to feel like I was living up north again.
Pat, No, wasn't digging out of the snow. Hopefully you will see many lors photos from me as Cobb County (yes, Georgia) has offered me an early-out retirement deal. I had 2 years to go but now I'm going early. I'm still reeling from the possibility of a full retirement at age 50, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. My last shift will be in late march or early April.
Ah, that explains it, TheFireman; you've been up to your ears in the Retirement Paper-Work .....
I understand that it gets easier with practice, though; my 1st was from Coast Guard, 2nd from the Ambulance; hoping for 3rd from the Ferry. Can't expect any from my Fire Dept., as we are all Volunteer..... {:>)
We were wondering how-come had not heard from you for a while - you must have been busy digging out.
Now, you can compare notes with our similarly-stricken Brit friends about "The White Stuff" !
Regards, from The Great White North,
