Greece had 2 types of Bedford pyrene and came in service 1978. This type in picture has 3000L water capacity but i can not remember the foam capacity. Someone told me that Bedford is the worsted fire engine with many problems (pump,small speed,engine..+). Bedford pyrene had small service in Greece about 13 years i think.
Bob, The Bedford is an M type 4x4 on 9.00x20 tyres with twin rears,it carried 750 galls of water, 90 galls of foam and 150lb dry powder.The foam system was a Vactrol unit with a 750 gpm pump.It had a monitor and two foam branches, sparge nozzles under the front bumper and a 180 ft hosereel.To help move all this weight the engine had twin carburettors.
