Great Photo. I am from Baltimore and loved fire trucks since I could walk. I was born in 1960 and I lived one block from the firehouse on Frederick Ave near Hilton St and Caton Ave. It housed Truck 8 and Engine (30 I think). When I was young, Truck 8 was an old American LaFrance Hook & Ladder with an open cab but they updated it when I was a teenager with one like the one above. Engine 30 was a real old open cab engine and I think the hood opened from both sides and were held down with leather straps. They also updated it with an engine that matched the truck above. They also had an ambulance they parked between the vehicles. Does anyone out there have any info or pics of this firehouse or trucks???
