Dennis and MAN Paulton Fire station
This picture was taken on 27/09/09 and shows our Dennis F28 Water Tender outside Paulton Fire Station which was its home station from 1961 until 1979 along the MAN appliance that is stationed there today. The station which was built in 1938 is actually in Paulton although it reads Clutton Rural District Fire Station above the doors which would have been the area it covered when first built. Its still in use today with Avon Fire Brigade. It was part of Somerset Fire brigade until 1974 when the County of Avon was formed.
