Hello there I may be able to shed some light on you Dennis TL location issue.
I am 1 of the owners of the ex staines appliance 1amx a Dennis f12. I do know that 221 VPB was for a short period stationed at staines while work was carried out at its home station at chertsey. if you would like to get in contact I may be able to help you out and also locate some pictures of her when stationed at staines.

The reason i am anxious to find her long term home station is so that on completion she can return once more to her stomping ground for a visit,
any photos you have of her would be wonderful as i intend to build a large history file of her service for Surrey
I also owned her identical sister 49 WPA (Guildford)
so this is the sole servivor of her type from Surrey and its very important to document her service and preserve her for generations to reflect on our great British vehicles and the heritage of our fire fighting past

Hello there. My late father, Donald 'Brigham' Young was TL operator at Guildford Red Watch for a number years, and this was one of his beloved machines. I can remember coming to the station on many an occasion and loved to see this machine there, and I still remember dad's stories when out with this machine. I would love a photograph if possible to email, for my 2 year old son. I am very keen for him to know as much as possible about his Grandad, as unfortunately they never met. We live in Spain now and so it is more important than ever for my son to know his roots. Well done for your work in keeping her up together and recording her for posterity, it is much appreciated by us with a direct connection.
