Friends Reunited Dennis F28 appliances

Taken at Wells Fire Station on Thursday 16th July 2009. It shows the two Dennis F28 appliances that were stationed at Station B7 Wells in the sixties and seventies. 25LYD was the first away Water Tender from 1968 to 1978 having previously been stationed at Bridgwater and Radstock. 22FYD was issued new to Wells in January 1960 as a Pump Escape and was latterly converted to a Water Tender Ladder been taken out of service in 1978 when it went to the Nuclear Power Station at Hinckley Point as the works appliance.

That 25 LYD sure gets around,I photographed it at the Ardingly Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show on Saturday 11th July.Its a lovely appliance,and due to the poor weather on the Sat,my pictures turned out real good.
Brilliant picture Paul,and what a lovely reunion for the old appliances to be back on home ground.
