This looks impressive, ok it's a Scania but looks impressive all the same .... Body by Browns ? quite a rare appliance in England and nice to see another body builder instead of the usual suspects !

Hello,

this appliance seems to end the tradition of having a heavy rescue vehicle with a built in towing and lifting capacity. Is there any reason for that? Does it have a built in winch at the rear?

Looks like a working platform...to be erected at the front of a crashed HGV to allow access to the cab area

they make fire engines very very well

Yes this is at Bishop Auckland. There is no fixed winch or crane at the back like its predecessors.
