1942 Leyland TD7 Merryweather Turntable Ladder

I have taken over ownership of this 1942 Leyland TD7 Merryweather 100' Turntable Ladder and i am in the process of restoring it back to its former glory, The previous owner of 25 years (Tony White) did a fantastic job and i will carry on with the TLC that it deserves. It had stood for over 5 years and started first time, It will receive a full mechanical overhaul and should be ready for shows next year. If any one can shed any light on her history it would be much appreciated.

It appeared at Preston Park, Teesside Airport, and the Tyne Tees rally during the 80's/90's.

I really didn't know another of these Leyland TD7's was still around doing the rallies,I've certainly never seen it down here in the south of England.Really looking forward Chris to seeing a picture,and hopefully at a rally maybe next year when James brings her along.
