Seen back in late 1988 upon the opening of Hadrian Road fire station in Wallsend (Tyne and Wear), was this Fulton/Wylie Volvo FL6.It was on display here with other machines. They were waiting for the official party to open the station, and invited us to stay and watch. However, we were on our way to an appointment at the Newcastle Busways Depot at Byker which we had arranged to visit that day.
