This big Ziegler Z8 was bought by the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Fire Brigade. It's a nice piece of equipment.

It's true Mark that the Malaysia Airport Berhad (MAB) fire owns several other models of crash tender, pumper and support vehicles. Ranging from Ziegler's, GMC, Mercedes etc

Only KLIA has the 8x8 Zieglers.
Other airports use the new Rosenbauer 6x6s and a new 6x6 vehicle called 'Tiger' which I have no idea who makes.
The most common 4x4 RIV and 6x6 crash tender is the CME Technologies own design built on an Alvis chassis.
The air force has a 4x4 CME design RIV built to be able to be carried by an Hercules.

Langkawi airport is equipped with Rosenbauer (MAN chassis) RIV 'Panther' series.The Panther has 10, 000L of water, 1, 200L of foam.It's special features are:1)fence cutter, in case the aircraft crash outside the airport premise.
2)special yellow paint.

Do they plan to purchase the Colet Jaguar K/40 E? man that thing is a beast....! full hydro-pneumatic suspension, 2 giant diesel engines, it even looks like one of Syd Mead vehicles..!
