1942 Leyland / Merryweather 100'Turntable Ladder

1942 Leyland TD7 / Merryweather 100'Turntable Ladder.

This 1942 Leyland TD7/half-cab Merryweather 100'Turntable Ladder was one of 30 built for the Home Office and issued to the National Fire Service for the war effort.
A total of 63 Merryweather 100' mechanical TL's were constructed for the National Fire
Service and of these,30 were built on the Leyland TD7 bus chassis,25 were constructed
on Leyland Beaver chassis, and the last eight were built on Dennis chassis.
This picture shows clearly the driver position,as well as the crew position behind driver.
Although I've sent in a picture of this TL before, having found now a lot of my very old negatives,I thought I might send these more detailed photographs into the site.
I'm glade I found them, and hope you enjoy viewing them.
