Ex Notts Volvo TL
P418CAL, ex Nottignham Central tL is pictured here on film camera (remember those!) in 2001. I was lucky to be at university next door to the fire station and caught a few pictures of them training with the TL's out on the forecourt. Sadly this and the other TL were replaced by an ALP and moved to Beeston to be jump manned and sent to incidents on request only. The days of having 2 pumps and the TL battling through traffic on Mansfield road with a chorus of bullhorns is sadly over.
The ladder was a computerised DLK30-PLC111. The last known about this was being for sale at a dealer in Humberside. If anyone has further news please share.

yes this vehicle was for sale by fireengines4sale.co.uk and is now in Africa I'll check where it went to, consider that Humberside still have on the run two earlier Metz TL's C188 EAG - Scunthorpes which I have operated on many fires and a G reg Volvo which I also operated and then ask yourself which is the 'third world country'
