A shot taken last year of the hybrid wrecker rebuilt by WMFS workshops from a Dennis DF prime mover this replaced the earlier wrecker again built by workshop staff from this brigade

This is the first I've heard of this Chris ! WMFS had six Dennis DF1616 PMs (A951-956 XOB), and this one (A954 XOB) was originally converted to a 3-axle job for driver training purposes. It was later still converted into the Recovery vehicle as shown in the above photograph, by Bro Wreckers. WMFS workshops also had a hand in the conversion. I have no knowledge whatsoever of any Dodge TL supplying any parts for it though.

Yes Ian I agree with you as far as I'm aware this was previously a Dennis DF Prime Mover with WMFS.
I had heard something like that before, I don't know what type of appliance the parts came from, but I believe the donor parts were the 3rd axel and the locker behind the cab

Have a look at picture #5325 and picture #5326, I think this machine is made up with some Dodge bits. Paul.
on the subject of WMFS Dennis DF's, does anyone have any info/photos on Centrals turntable ladder D584 OOP. I think it's callsign was Romeo113, I saw it in attendance at a fire in a block of flats (Merryhill Court) in Smethwick in the early 90's but the photos my dad had have sadly been lost...
Not many i guess by the amount of probs North Yorks had on their H reg appliances....
