Manufacturer's information
Your knowledge needed!
Hi all visitors and contributors,
We try to keep the information on our site as accurate and complete as possible. We have been trying to add specific manufacturers information to every manufacturer for this reason. However, a few remain either elusive and unknown to us and we keep lacking the time to write a brief synopsis on these (keeping on top of all the great photos and comments you post is obviously the priority). So we hope you might be able and willing to help and write a small piece on some of the manufacturers to help make this site even more complete...
We are looking forward seeing the fruits of your expert knowledge shortly - just email them to me: editor@fire-engine-photos.com!
Thanks for the help!
Help wanted!
Hi all,
The new format of the site allows us to provide much more information to the visitors.
One of the bits of info is on the individual manufacturers. If you click on 'Manufacturers' at the top menu you'll be taken to a summary page with all the manufacturers neatly on one page. For every individual manufacturer we now have the option of an introduction text explaining the history of this particular one plus additional info like characteristics, what appliances you are most likely to find, which countries / market this manufacturer operates in - and so on.
We think this is great and have started to fill in this info, only to realise the size of the job and the apparent lack of knowledge :) So you can see it coming: this is a request for help. If you are an 'expert' or simply knowledgeable on a specific manufacturer can we ask you to write a paragraph or two and send it to us? It will help us, other visitors and the community in general. And it will further improve the Fire Engine Photos site, and we are all for that!
Just send it by email to Marcel Gommers - editor@fire-engine-photos.com.
First entries in will be published and only replaced with other entries if these are really 'a step forward'. Of course we'll add your name to it as a credit :)
